online auctions for a cause

December 27, 2009

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Bidazzled. All opinions are 100% mine.

There's a new acution site that works just like eBay but was designed to make bidders win each time. Bidazzled lets you save 80% off the retail price if you are declared as the winner. The site then offers you to purchase the item back for cash, cash & bids or just bids. Now if you do not win, you still have a chance to obtain up to 50 bonus bids. This is the Bidazzled's way giving back for participating. Now tell me if that is not something worthwhile to try out. It's basically a win-win situation.

Aside from that, Bidazzled was also designed to fund a lung cancer charity, The Ruch Foundation. The mechanics of the charity revolves around an auction. Launched in early November this year, Bidazzled is redefining the online auction market by offering savings of up to 90% on name brand merchandise while doing all this for a good cause and it's so easy to join. You purchase bids in advance which you then use to bid on an item of your choice. The price increases a few cents with each bid and a few seconds are automatically added to give chance to other bidders. The auction ends when no other bids are placed. Here's a rundown on how Bidazzled works:

• Auction winners usually save over 80% off retail price.
• Nobody loses
• If you don’t win, you receive up to 50 Bonus Bids as a thank you participating and
• You can purchase the auction item less the investment you had in the auction.
• If you win, Bidazzled typically makes an offer to buy the item back for either: cash (paypal or check), cash and bids and bids.

dailies: best christmas ever

December 26, 2009

This Christmas is the best Christmas ever. We all had fun in Boracay as we dined, drank, swam and ate our hearts out. The family was inseparable. We did everything together as we tried to catch up on each other's lives. It was good to talk. No conflicts, no hassles. I wish every day would be as uncomplicated as the last four days in this beautiful island. But it's back to reality for us. In any case, hope you had a wonderful time with your family on Christmas day. Here are a few pictures from our Christmas in Boracay.

dailies: homeschooling

My nephew had once convinced me to talk to her mom about taking him out of a certain homeschool program. He regularly complained about being bored and about how he missed regular school. This was an initial phase. He later on got the hang of it and now, he actually enjoys homeschool. His curriculum is the same as with any other regular school so he is not really missing anything important. What regular school teaches, his curriculum online teaches, too. The only difference is that he has to do a lot more work with his homeschool program. That is good because he learns to be more responsible. He has to do a lot of reading and he turns to his mother when there is something he does not understand about his lesson.

Homeschooling is now becoming a popular option for families. It's not only convenient, you also get regulate what you teach your child. There is also the advantage of a more personalized teaching method. A student does not have to fight for the attention of one teacher. In a regular school, the ratio of student to teacher is normally 40:1. In homeschooling, it's a 1:1 ratio. This is better for the student more than anyone else.

dailies: chronic headaches

I suffer from chronic headaches from time to time. The headache bouts would normally last weeks or even months and would go away naturally as if it was never there in the first place. So what do I do to take away the pain? I pop a pill, of course. They say that it's unhealthy and even dangerous to rely on pain relievers but they do not experience the pain firsthand and they wouldn't know how it feels. And just to let you all know, it feels horrible as if someone is pounding a hammer on your head and it's about to burst open with blood.

What pills have I tried? The old reliable aspirins were ok at the start but it gave me hyperacidity so I stopped those. Paracetamol only lasts for a few hours and the pain would come back even stronger and I would take double dose to ease the pain. I later decided that paracetamol did not work for me so I stopped taking those, too. Other pain relievers like Ibuprofen and Acetaminophen were only good in the beginning but they were not really that effective.

Then I discovered tramadol online. So what is tramadol hcl 50mg used for, anyway? The pill is generally used for people who suffer from chronic back pain due to surgery, accident or joint pain. It is taken by individuals who do not want to take some of the other habit forming drugs. It does not even need a doctor's prescription to buy tramadol bluebook. So I guess it is safe to use when you can purchase it over the counter. I also researched about the drug and it's even great for the worst of migraines. Yes, aside from chronic headaches, I also suffer from migraine attacks. This happens when I've eaten too much cheese and too many nuts. By the way, you can buy tramadol online without a prescription by calling this tool-free number 866-441-3579 or visiting TramadolBlueBook.com.

product of the day: funkoos organic clothing for babies

Baby's skin is sensitive. When I gave birth to my second child almost six years ago, I had to give away most of her newly-bought bodysuits, pants and sleep gowns because she developed rashes when she wore them. Synthetic materials for baby's clothes are the enemy. It is a good thing there are baby clothes brands that carry organic baby apparel. Funkoos is one of them. All their top selling clothes are made from organic fabric free from pesticides and harmful chemicals. The cotton they use is not infused with harmful ingredients. That's why their clothes are naturally softer. Well, I think it's about time that mommies rethink what their children are wearing. You don't feed your kids chemical-laden food, you should not let them wear chemical and pesticide infused clothing. I think that makes sense. And these clothes make for great gifts for kids up to 2 years old.

dailies: online tutor for my nephew

I think our family, from my sister down to my nephews and nieces, is poor in Math. For instance, my nephew never seems to understand Algebra word problems. I know it's a hard subject and all but what I can't understand is how he never seems to get it no matter what method I use to teach him. His own mother practically gave up on him. My nephew really needs help in Math. He likes to study and loves Science and English subjects but shies away from Math problems whenever it is the topic of conversation. He hates Math and solving Math word problems even more. When his mom tried to get Math help and Algebra help, he improved a bit. But I think he needs to have a constant guide or tutor to teach him.

You see, he used to live with me but had to go back home because I got busy with so many things these past few months. And now he's complaining again that he can't understand Math at all. I plan to talk to my sister and discuss the possibility of getting Algebra 2 help. I heard about TutorVista.com and how the program uses professional tutors to teach kids one-on-one. It’s basically done via the internet but in a secure web environment, much like what we’re doing in real life. There’s a white board on the computer screen that the tutor uses to demonstrate each problem to the student.

For an affordable fee, you get unlimited online tutoring. It's so much different from a regular tutor that goes to your home and charges on a per hour basis. Tutor Vista offers all access to its pool of professional tutors who are experts in Math and Math problems, also Science and English. Perhaps in that way, my nephew can get Math answers and learn how to arrive at those answers. We'll see.

dailies: moving

If you're planning to move, I suggest you get professional help. I have moved so many times in the past years and it was a lot of work. Literally a lot of work. I don't recommend doing it yourself even if DIYing everything is so popular nowadays. If you're looking to save some money by doing the moving yourself, you're wrong because you'll end up with a bad back for a few days and you'll find yourself not being able to do anything which translates to not being able to go to work. Do you get my point? I don't even know why I did what I did in the first place. I was not thinking properly.

Anyway, there are professional Movers who would love to take the trouble out of your hands. HireAHelper.com can help you with just about anything concerning moving. If you want to get a competitive moving estimate from several of the moving companies, you can find them in the website with detailed information about the services of those movers. There are even recommendations and feedbacks from past users that would help you decide who to get. No matter what your moving needs, HireaHelper.com can assist you with anything from the smallest apartment move to the largest house or office.

Although the website is a great resource to find moving companies, you can find other moving services here as well. If you just want a truck to help you with moving, there are several truck rentals that can assist you. Another moving problem is the packing and unpacking and professional movers can do only that for you while you transport your belongings yourself. Sometimes when moving, some big furniture, appliances or other items need to be put elsewhere, you can find companies that do that and also get an estimate for storage solutions.

HireaHelper.com has all the moving services and solutions to every moving problem.
